The Show Place Arena and Prince George’s Equestrian Center holds more than 30 horse-related events a year. The Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary offers a birdwatching area and a live animal area with snakes, toads and turtles. Hikers have four trails to catch views of the Patuxent River and the sanctuary’s forests are all readily available to enjoy in Prince George’s County.
